Just back from my first trip to #Newcastle / #Tyneside as Soph started her PhD. Have a feeling we'll like it there! Sad to hear bonobo #Aberdeen is closing TOMORROW; was always a great cafe, lovely staff, nice wee local community and cracking #vegan food, real shame :(

It's a whole new year and since things are generally pretty bleak thought I'd share some things I'm looking forward to in 2023;
First it's #veganuary NOW, the easiest month of the year to be #vegan so looking forward to trying some new things
I'm starting a #sewing & #textiles night class so I can #makeDoAndMend a bit
#FrankieBoyle in Aberdeen then some travelling for #Muse #RedHotChiliPeppers (Glasgow) and a first ever trip to the Netherlands (Groningen) to see #Rammstein

Had our #Christmas leftovers today and tried a fancy sauce, "Pomegranate Bordelaise". #vegan "juicy marbles" joint, cut into fillets and roasted :) #chefsKiss #yum #juicyMarbles

A film following the life of a dairy cow in the UK, will air on BBC2 this evening at 10.30pm.
Cows can live 15-20 years or more, but on a dairy farm they will be killed at around 4.5 - 6 years old, if they make it that far (without disease).
In that time they will birth a calf every year in order to maintain a supply of milk. Their calves will be removed from them - standard practice is within 24 hours - causing distress to both mother and calf - via Soph #vegan #dairy https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001fyf3
